DEREK SOLYSIAK

Derek Soltysiak lives in Northern Michigan with his wife, Angela, and their two children, Garrett and Emma. Carpentry and woodworking have spanned many generations in the Soltysiak family. Derek has been a carpenter for over 20 years working in the commercial industry. More recently, he has picked up the hobby of woodturning and woodworking. Derek enjoys the challenge of finding unique woods to turn his bowls from and often meets with local timbermen to find these woods. When he is not working on bowls, he likes to hunt and fish.
